Many of them were stopped. A lot of my Favorite Love Songs are by American Rock and Roll Singers, but through many strange circumstances they were stopped. Last night I was watching a fictitious movie on TV about the early days and how people were protesting against the music. Then this morning at about 5 am, as I lay in bed, it dawned on me that the music was stopped. So I would like to share with you my thoughts on some of the artists, and one song from each.<\/p>\n
1. Memphis Tennessee – Johnny Rivers<\/a><\/p>\n This is one of my favorite love songs by an American rock and roll singer.<\/p>\n 2. Chuck Berry – Roll over Beethoven<\/a><\/p>\n He wrote a lot of very nice songs. In fact he wrote the previous one that was a big hit for Johnny Rivers.<\/p>\n 3. Buddy Holly – Oh Boy<\/a><\/p>\n I heard this song on the radio at a friends house when I was about 11 years old. Later on we had the old 78 record. Many years later I heard that he died in a plane crash.<\/p>\n 4. The Big Bopper – Chantilly Lace<\/a><\/p>\n He died in the same plane.<\/p>\n 5. Ritchie Valens – Donna<\/a><\/p>\n He died in the same plane.<\/p>\n 6. Eddie Cochran – Three steps to heaven<\/a><\/p>\n He died in a taxi accident in England. He tells us how to fall in love. When I was a teenager, a friend of my brother used to sing this song. It felt so exciting, as I had never had a girlfriend.<\/p>\n 7. Fats Domino – Blueberry Hill<\/a><\/p>\n This was one of the standard rock and roll songs on the American TV show called Happy Days, and is still one of my favorite love songs today.<\/p>\n 8. Ricky Nelson – There’ll never be anyone else but you for me<\/a> – My Favorite Love Song by American Rock and Roll Singers<\/a><\/p>\n He changed his name to Rick, and also changed his record label. Some say his success changed because of the British Invasion. When he later revitalized his career, he died in a plane crash.<\/p>\n 9. Elvis Presley – Jailhouse Rock<\/a><\/p>\n Elvis was sent to the army at the height of his career. This was the very first rock and roll song I ever heard. I was about 11 years of age at a friends house, when he put the record on. I had never heard drums or guitars before, and it gripped me so tightly, and never let go!<\/p>\n 10. Jerry Lee Lewis – Great balls of fire<\/a><\/p>\n A scandal broke out about his 13 year old wife when he was in England, which downed his career for many years.<\/p>\n 11. Fabian – Like a Tiger<\/a><\/p>\n When I was young they played this fast moving record at the roller rink. I just loved it so much, and would skate as fast as I could. He apparently had a lot of setbacks, and one of them was to do with payola. I am not sure how all that stuff works.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Many of them were stopped.
