I apologize for using pictures of Elvis for Jude, but I have these paintings from about 50 years ago, and it saves a lot of extra work.
For every song you hear and every movie that you see, there is a writer behind the scenes that ‘starts the ball rolling’ so to speak. My son has written a book, and today I saw a printed copy for the first time. You can get this book as an electronic book (ebook) or as a printed book.
I love this song: Take me home country roads, so I am doing a section here as one of my favorite love songs, done by many different artists with many different videos. There is something about country roads that has a great appeal to me, plus the idea of going home is also very appealing. A double winner!
First, I would like to feature JOHN DENVER, who is the one who introduced us to this favorite love song.

Memphis Tennessee is one of my all time favorite love songs, and every so often I take my guitar and play and sing it. It has such a nice beat, and playing it in the key of D, I love doing those weird notes that make it so special. I was written by Chuck Berry, and it seems like just about every singer likes to sing this song.
The first time I heard Memphis Tennessee was by Johnny Rivers on the radio in Bulawayo.
Many years later I heard the Elvis version. When I visited Graceland in 1983, the bus took us to The Sun Studio and a tour of Memphis.
Back in the 70’s I bought a record of the Ventures where they played each guitar part separately and then put them all together to teach people how to play the song in all the different parts.
Sir Cliff sings a lot of my favorite love songs.
We saw Elvis “live” in Reno back in 1976. The women were screaming!
In 1965 I used to visit Tony Law in Bulawayo, and watch the Hollywood a go go show on the TV. Sue Law was his sister. It brings back lots of memories.

Last year I heard that Willie Nelson had died, I so decided to do a tribute to him of some of my favorite gospel songs that he wrote and sang. When I checked his history, I found out that apparently he hasn’t died, and it was just a hoax. I don’t know him personally, so I cannot tell for sure. Some time ago I did a section on my favorite love songs that he sings, but anyway, I have decided to go ahead and honor him regarding the spiritual songs that he sang. A friend told me once that he wished he had given his mother flowers while she was alive. So here are some “flowers” for Mr. Nelson.
This is the very first song I ever sung in front of an audience, and I forgot most of the words.
This is my favorite gospel song for worshiping God.
3. Just as I am
10. Farther along
13. It is no secret
14. In God’s eyes
The write up says this favorite gospel song was also written by Mr. Willie Nelson. It has some very good words.
This is a swinging song with a good message.
There are lots of people who hate Jesus, so it is nice to see that Mr. Willie Nelson believes in Jesus. I also have a gospel site with lots more of his songs if you would like to check it out at: countrygospelandbible.com
I also have a gospel website, if you would like to check it out: countrygospelandbible.com

The other day I was waiting in the car for my family, changing stations on the radio to save boredom, and I heard the tail end of a song about going to the dentist. I found it was Blake Shelton, so I have added him to my favorite love songs.
1. Some beach
I can relate so much to the things in this song, like the dentist, the parking lot, the man in the electric wheelchair, and the road rage guy. This is now one of my favorite music videos of all time. I love the way he keeps his cool through all the stressful situations.

13. Savior’s shadow
Many years ago I saw The Kendalls on the TV, and I loved their singing and music. I have found a whole bunch of favorite love songs that they sing, and I hope you enjoy them. A lot of their famous songs are cheating songs, which I don’t agree with, so I have kept them to a minimum, and posted a whole lot of other songs which I think are very nice.
I used to drive taxi, and it was so good to have the radio late at night in a far away town.
The Kendalls make me think of the Elvis song.
